Forward Motion for Writers

I joined the boards to improve my writing. I have always enjoyed writing and had several minor publications during my school years. Unfortunately I strayed from writing when I decided to travel, started a family, and so on. Now I realize that I need to write because I am a bit of a workaholic and I need to have some sort of a creative outlet.

I made a few attempts to write last year and I have done a few freelance jobs, but having a couple full time jobs kept writing on the back burner. About a month ago I decided to schedule time for writing into each day and now I'm about 20,000 words into a young adult fiction novel.

I am not sure if I will ever have it published, but I am going to see where the journey takes me.
