Hi All, I have now probably foolishly given up a well paid teaching job to be a full time writer. I plan to publish 4 books within the year, which is doable, as I have written books under other names, and one of those will be revamped to be re-publish under my own name. I have turned down the offer of agents, which might not have been the best course of action, now that I am finding out how hard PR/marketing is! I am confident I will get there, but have realised that I may have to follow the bamboo rule and have to work part-time to achieve this. When I have spoken to famous writers recently, they have all said they have no idea how marketing works now, as someone else does all that for them… wouldn’t that be nice? Happy writing everyone, and remember: it is for the art not the money, the money is a bonus!
