Like Erin said, no reason not to jump right in! The more, the merrier!
I’m adding in the 2 qualifying releases to the Grand Total post right now.

Yeah, I hate the Smashwords Meatgrinder and how they seem to change a few of the proper formatting rules almost every time I create a file. But, it’s the easiest way for me to get into Apple right now. I’m hoping that will change this spring.

How about both? I know when I’m trying to contact the owner of a blog I look for the standard “Contact Me” link, and I get really frustrated when I don’t find it or something similar.
Ugh, press kits. Yep, I need to work up mine across the pen names. I haven’t had time for it yet, and I’m not looking forward to it.

I have Flash turned off on my computer as it tends to either slow it way down or crash the browser. This is a common problem. Flash is known to eat systems resources and can be rather glitchy.
Either way, if that’s the only way to get into a website then I just don’t go any further. So, i agree. Either don’t use Flash, or make the site navigable without it.
Make your site easily USABLE.

Do you clean up the word HTML before using Calibre? Word makes really messy HTML that will then corrupt in all sorts of instances.
I thought you could import HTML directly into Sigil? I thought that’s what I heard a few people doing. I know several who are going direct to Apple are using Sigil as the program to create the Epub files. A few also use Jutoh. Calibre-created Epubs usually fail, which is one of the reasons I haven’t even tried going direct with Apple yet.
I have Scrivener and have used it for years, but I haven’t tried using it to create ebooks from, so I don’t know about their quality. You might want to look at the Scrivener Forums to see if anyone has had success in using it for iTunes. I personally haven’t heard of anyone doing that, but that doesn’t mean anything.
I keep hearing about how touchy Apple is for their ebooks, with a bunch of people giving up and hiring it done. I hope you can get this figured out, and if you do please share how you did it and what programs you used.

Another long-timer! Wow, wish I had found this place in 2003. I wonder how different a writer I would be now? Hmm.
Nice mix of genres. Sounds like you have fun trying different stuff (which is great). I’m learning I’m more and more all over the place, too. It keeps it refreshing.

Nice intro! I think it’s great that two sisters can collaborate and not kill each other.
I would love to see some SF from you, as well. Who knows, a plot bunny (or more) may come nip at your heels sooner rather than later. Or later, rather than sooner. Hmm. Well, at some point. If so, I would like to read it.
Welcome to the new FM boards!

Sounds like a fun change from the typical Nano novel. I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with it!
