The Traveling Shovel of Death – I never managed to get that one into my novels. But I did get a trebuchet in every time. There’s one advantage to writing hist fic.
Quote:You are Eowyn from the trilogy The Lord of the Rings. You are a strong woman who will not compromise your values. You stand up for those who are misunderstood and you are not afraid to fight. You are unafraid of death and to some you may seem mysterious.Yeah, I can totally dig that result.

As I said, I don’t mind their return. I’ve developed enough self confidence about my writing by now that I no longer compare myself with others who are faster. My excuse is that GRRM is slow, too. *wink*
I think I had the panster badge in my sig just to have something there.

Lol, I can’t even remember if there was anything on the old site that didn’t make the move except a few subforums I never posted in.
Actually, there are some dead ones here, too, like the Where Are Your Characters Now (last post 1 year 3 months ago). One thing I personally don’t miss but others may were those signature badges for challenges achieved. It always made me feel inadequate to see tons of those in some sigs when I’m just not a fast writer, and my poor little sig looked so dull and emtpy.
But by now I’ve learned to ignore that sort of wordcount pressure and if people want them back, go for it.Hi Hannah, so our paths cross again.

Beautiful weather? Where did you find that in Germany these days?
Burning in hell because the movies didn’t catch the spirit of the books? No, I have a list of people who really should burn in hell, but that would transgress the rules of no politics and no religion here.
Crappy movies are not the worst sin.I loved the visuals of the LOTR films, but yeah, the character assassination of Faramir and Denethor, emo-Aragorn, emo-Arwen, Gimli as comic relief (an offense to the race of dwarfs), Frodo sending Sam away …. the list goes on. But hell, no. Maybe a few weeks in purgatory.

Let’s see: OCD Reader, Book Preserver, Compulsive Buyer, Re-Reader, Multi-Tasker, Spoiler, Traveling Reader, and Eclectic Reader. And no, I don’t need to see a shrink for that.

I’m not a technical writer, but history also has a renown for often being dry. I try not to be dry on my blog because history can be very interesting and a lot of fun.
Plotbunnies

Actually, some writer jargon is group specific. I commented on a published writer’s blog some days ago using the word ‘NiP’ and he asked what it meant. But he gets plotbunnies, too. Can’t escape those.

I want to continue working on Never to Return (the one that got a good headstart during Nano 2012 and some more words this year, but not much in between), take up A Land Unconquered again, try to find a coherent plot for Forged at the Fighting (the 2YN) and do something about that Nechtansmere-Bunny. Stew, maybe.
Oh, and blog regularly (yes, in a way that’s writing related, since it counts as non fiction). No wordcount targets, since those never work for me.

I get tired of people treating me like I’m broken or must be a failure because I don’t outline. Where do these things come from anyway?!Well, that would make GRR Martin a failure, too, because he doesn’t outline either. 👿
I got those bovine excrements about omni not going to sell, too. I left that crit group and found a more reasonable one on FM (thanks MarFisk for explaining the difference between good omniscient and head hopping).
Maybe a forum for Those Crazy Stories You Can’t Sell But Want to Share Nevertheless.

Geology is one of my recent hobbies after I tried to understand an article about karst formations, got me an introductory book about geology and rocks, and now I think it’s a fascinating topic I should learn more about. So anything geology related would be fun.
Something I take special interest in is the method of georadar scanning (GPR) because that’s becoming a favourite tool for archaeologists, so a course or at least a lesson about methods of geological research would be interesting, too.
Noo, not the woodle pooves, they’re worse than the comfy cushions.
