So sorry to hear this. I hope you feel better soon. And wow, 20 years! That’s awesome!
Yep, I did that yesterday. We’ll see what happens.
I had that issue, Marfisk. The third book in my series did not show up even though my details were filled out correctly.
I did the first book-series title thing b/c it made sense. The books are about the Fey Touched, and that was book 1, and I really don’t regret doing it. I think it just depends on different factors.
I’m late to the party, but is still happening? Is it a regular thing? And how do I join?
Quote:1) Do you listen to music for inspiration in your writing?I listen to music when I’m writing to either set the mood or for inspiration. However, I can’t listen to music while editing b/c it distracts me too much.
Quote:2) If so, when do you listen? All. The. Time.
Quote:3) Do you listen to the radio, canned music on your computer, or some other way, like Youtube playlists or Spotify or Pandora?Mostly stuff on iTunes, but I will veer off into Spotify to research new bands/singers before buying anything.
Quote:4) Do you build playlists for your writing, and if so, how do you go about doing so? What are you looking for when you create your playlists?I used to. Nowadays I really don’t, but I usually have the theme song for the book, the world (if it’s not ours), and the MCs.
Awesome! I will definitely consider them when I am ready to publish my two horror novels.
I don’t really have trouble coming up with titles. A lot of them come to me before I start writing the book. With my Fey Touched series, all the titles end in “touched” so that makes it pretty easy.
Although with my Desiri trilogy, I am having issues with the title of book 3. I had all three figured out, but then I realized that the title for book 3 should be the title for book 2, and book 2’s original title wasn’t going to work for book 3. So I have a working title, but I don’t like it too much. (And if you were able to follow that, awesome!)
Sounds really neat! May give it a try sometime.
Good luck! I’m still waiting, too!
I submitted my novel Pirouette, if anyone remembers that one. Except under the name Death Dancer.
The synopsis was absolutely brutal. But I’m glad I did it. Good practice whether or not I get a full request.
March 14, 2016 at 12:50 pm in reply to: Productivity Tools: The Pomodoro Technique Timed Writing #247176I use the Pomodoro technique all the time. For writing, and for stretch breaks as I tend to keep sitting without a break for hours if I get really involved. It works really well.
Absolutely, Mar! It was frustrating, but I’m so happy for a diagnosis, a reason, you know? Several doctors saying they have no idea what’s wrong kinda sucked.
Thanks, Erin! So happy!
Thanks, Magic Seeker! I hope so too!
Thanks. I’m glad, too. Two and a half years was too long.
