Thanks, John, LyricalMoon and Magic Seeker. I appreciate your kind words.

Yes, I’m very pleased that “Elfy” will be finally coming out. Taking a last editorial pass, and making sure my break-point (as I did have to split it in half, with a new title probably coming for the first half) makes sense.

John, my story in “How Beer Saved the World” was also like that — personal, and fraught with meaning, but also I hope an entertaining story. (Different from anything else in the anthology, to be sure.) I wanted to dedicate the story to my late best friend Jeff Wilson, who died in 2011. I wasn’t able to find the words, but did discuss the story somewhat on my blog, and that in my heart, I thought about Jeff often when I wrote the story. (I think he’d have liked it.)

At any rate, I hope all your careers are going well, writing-wise and otherwise. :) And I’m definitely glad to see you all again.

        Thanks, Erin.

I’ve read several of your stories recently — at Daily SF, and a few other places. (Well, “recently” being relative. In the last year or two.) I’m glad your career is going well.

I’m very pleased that “Elfy” has finally been sold. And I hope things will start to turn around from a writing perspective. (I’m getting to be better known as an editor and have found some clients who seem to like my work, and have had repeat business. It’s still not a full-time endeavor, partly because my Mom’s health is not good and there isn’t anyone else to help her, but that part of things is going well.)

Now I have to figure out what’s going on with “Elfy Abroad,” as one of my characters is acting in a wholly inexplicable manner. B)
