Right now I have two pieces I’m working on:

Shadows of Cairo is a Victorian Age fantasy set in Egypt. This is my first draft project.

Raventower and Merriweather 3: Missing is my edit project and I’m about 2/3rds of the way through it.

I also have Sleeper Awake which I’ll be starting on Wattpad as soon as I get the intro worked out.

Oh, and Journey of a Thousand Truths is almost ready for publication.

I spent April working on my new version of MOTS1 (untitled), and now I’m dealing with depression again (I don’t think it’s ever actually gone completely away since January) and trying to decide what to do writing-wise.

Good luck, Ashe. I hope the writing becomes more enjoyable again!

I’m working on a nonfiction Victorian dressmaking book, this one from the 1860s.

Like Ashe, my fiction is suffering. Partly because the words just stopped, partly due to ROI. My nonfiction outsells my fiction 14 to 1.

                Nice work with the multitasking.

Me, I’m still working on Apprentice, but getting closer to the point where I can let it go and move on to the others that are waiting.

I have been moonlighting with a flash here or there when the need to write gets too strong, but I can’t handle more than one at a time anymore :p.

Hugs. Good luck figuring out what works best for right now :).

Hugs. Sounds like a neat book, but frustrating for your fiction to fall by the wayside.

Out of curiosity, are you actively advertising the fiction? The authors I know who are doing well seem to advertise all the time and at significant expense but they earn more than they pay out. I like to think that’s why mine keeps petering out :).

No, I can’t afford to advertise at the moment. From what I’ve read, we need to spent a LOT to get a good response, and I don’t have even a little to spare. I used to get a bump with a new release, but the last one flopped.

If I get a windfall, I’ll try advertising. Maybe sales will bring words back. But like you, I can only handle one project at a time. When I try to work on two, nothing seems to get done.

Besides, the dressmaking book is 85% done. I’m looking forward to finishing it. 😆

I love hearing about everyone’s writing projects. It motivates me to keep going. :-)

I am plotting a SciFi series, based on a short story I finished. I also just finished a fantasy short story, and am working on the cover and blurb. The title is another problem. :-)

I decided I should write one short story each month for this year, get the cover and blurb done and just publish, because every time I publish something, I get a sales bump on all the other books. And I don’t advertise at all because Amazon … I am still waiting for Amazon to add the final (5th) book of my Tracker series to the series list which I published in August 2017.

Hopefully now winter is nearly here, I can write every day again, rather than worry about elderly relatives, the gardens and lawn, and house repairs. They all take time away from my writing. :-)

Yeah, definitely get that all finished :).

As to the advertising, I tell myself I’ll do that once I get at least one of my series completed :).

Nice to see what people are working on!

I’ve gotten slowed up on the Raventower & Merriweather 3 book, but I found the core of the problem and it’s just taking some adjustments earlier in the book to fix things. I like when the fix is relatively easy. Unlike the problem with Jami, a novel that I’ll have to rip out at least the last half and maybe more to fix. I do have the fix in mind, though, so that’s better than it has been for a couple of years.

I’ve picked up work on Unwritten Letters again. Hadn’t written for over a week, so starting again was kind of scary, but it was worth it.

Yay for easy fixes! Hugs on having to rip up half of Jami’s book. That’s frustrating, but at least you know what the problem is.
