Hello Shaun. Welcome to FM!
If you’re looking for live chat, here’s a link:
http://www.fmwriters.com/zoomfm/index.php/chat-room-linkIf you want to drop in and post at your leisure, open a thread any place that interests you, or add a reply to an existing thread. Most of us drop in at varying times of day.
As to ending a book in a series, I suggest you consider the storyline that exists in THAT BOOK ONLY, separate from the series, and make sure it has a beginning, middle, and end. The series can have an open plot to be continued later, but each book needs to have a resolution to its own story. I tend to start my next book the day after the end of the last one, with a new set of problems to be solved, in addition to the ongoing series business.
Happy writing,
Deb Salisbury

If FM chat isn’t active (it’s hit-and-miss these days), you’re welcome to come to WG Chat. Writing Groove is a companion site and it also has a chat room. I’m usually in both chatrooms and may be able to answer some of your questions.
