      Hi Kathy,
As a fellow F/F story writer (yes it is me!!) I totally recommend the site. I am fairly new here but have found loads of help and advice and most importantly encouragement. The moderators are really supportive and feel free to have a wander

          Hi,
I’m a returning site user. I’m back at writing again, as my hours at work are diminished. I’ve been back and forth about this – should I write short fiction or long, should I plug away at a novel, etc. I’ve been starting novels and not finishing them for a long time now, promised myself I work work into writing by blogging or writing short magazine articles. I’ve decided to just go after the original ultimate goal and write sci fi and/or fantasy novels. It’s what I read. Third time’s the charm. I don’t think I’ll spend a lot of time in the forums until I make considerable progress but I’d like to post word counts in the forum to start with. Hope to meet you there.
          Toni

Hey, all–I joined the chat first and just now joined the boards. Thought I’d pop by and say hi properly. :)

I’m working on a sci-fi novel called H2O, and it’s in its final revision phase before I start shopping it around. Wish me luck! :D

Hei! Just found out about this place from NaNoWriMo Estonian Group. I write fantasy, horror and sci-fi. I’ve written 6 novels and numerous shorter pieces. I am looking to improve upon my craft and get inspiration from fellow writers :)

Hello, my new friends I am about to get to know.

I am based in central Mexico.

I am about 60% finished with my first novel. I hope to learn a lot from these forums. This is not my first published book, but is my first work of fiction.

I am also trying to learn Scrivener. Some parts of Scrivener are driving me nuts (which I must admit is a really short trip! ;) ) I wish Scrivener had a built-in thesaurus. For word processing, I mostly use the awesome and legally-free LibreOffice. It is available for many platforms. LibreOffice is a much-improved branch of the OpenOffice.org office suite. I use it on both Windows and Linux.

                        Blessings!

Welcome, Doc Steve! (I won’t promise to remember that name later–I’m horrible with names. LOL)

I hope you enjoy your time with us. The boards are kind of slow, but there’s usually somebody in chat from about 10AM mountain time through the night, frequently past midnight, so come visit us there! A lot of us are Scrivener users (some iOS, others PC), so there should usually be somebody available who can help you with your learning process.

We’re happy to help you learn whatever you need! :)

                          .

Hello, new member to site. Not what you would call a social media educated fella. I was looking around site to figure out where I might find a place to chat. Fiction writer and wanting to chat with some people that might know some things about writing a series of books. The book I am writing now is screaming series but not sure what would be a good place to end current and start the second. I hope that makes sense.
