Maybe it’s the current situation out there, but despite my intentions, I can keep going on willpower alone for just a week or so. Habit helps tremendously (I know from other things) but if the habit isn’t there, developing the habit might not happen.

How do you get yourself working?

Great at theory, terrible at practice.

Habit is all I’ve got going for me at the moment, but I’m not getting a lot done.

I’d love to read some tips, too.

I sometimes find it useful to have some projects going “in the background”, so to speak. These are short stories sparked by those sudden blasts of inspiration that come along from time to time. That strategy gives me something fresh that I can work on for a while, which helps me to avoid getting bored.

Good luck! I certainly know how hard it is to be stuck.

I can only write when the muses strike. Fortunately they strike exactly at 9:45 every morning for me.

              LOL! You have a well-trained muse! 😀
