I don’t have a goal because I tend to read a lot anyway, and then I forget to track it. So this is just where I will record what I am reading and what I got out of the books.

Currently Reading: The Last Goodbye by Bernadette Marie and beta-reading (but loving) a novel from a Nano writer. The title might change, but currently it is called Amalgamation by S. J. Whitby.

Finished The Last Goodbye. I liked it. There aren’t any related books that I could find, and there were some parts (okay, one secondary character and how that character was developed) I didn’t like. I’m not noramlly a romance reader, but I enjoyed the paranormal aspects — this is a sweeter paranormal romance, rather than a vampire/demon/witch thing — I also like those occasionally, but I usually prefer them to be more urban fantasy and less romance. I know Bernadette Marie personally as she is involved in the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and leads the retreat I go to each year, so I wanted to read one of her books.

Next up is Dust of Earth by S. R. Olson, a writer I met on the Holly Lisle boards. I’ve read Days of Chaos, the prequel, and really enjoyed it, so looking forward to it. This is fantasy.
