Yeah, before I started putting stories down on paper, I basically ripped off one cartoon episode plot and applied it to another cartoon I watched. All in my head. I was maybe 10-12 when I did this. Also forced my various toys to play the parts in cartoon episodes I especially liked to relive the stories.
So, no, you’re hardly alone in lifting stories.

~*~July 18, 2015 at 5:55 pm #241329Just because I can’t resist: sometimes taking several cliches/tropes and mashing them together into a story is wonderful fun! It can really get the creative juices flowing. Um, but careful with the TVTropes website. You’ll be lost for days. It’s evvviiiiillll!
