Hello,
My name is Abigail Frost and I am new to Forward Motion. I am working on a scifi idea that I hope doesn’t become too “soft.” I tend to get lost in worldbuilding and prewriting. I hope to break that streak with this new idea.
Cheers!

My time at FM was the most productive and creative and growth oriented time of life. I want the FM magic to work in me again. I’m very happy to be back. Thank you Zette and all of you who have stayed with FM.

My name is Karen. I hold an MA in creative writing that I’ve done little with over the past couple of decades! I’m getting back into the swing of things. I’ve got a few short stories I’m working on, and am looking for feedback (and am happy to offer it in return). Most of my work is surrealist/magical realism.

February 12, 2019 at 1:16 pm #262893I am 63yrs old and have been writing novels for some years now, but because I am not famous or appeared in some brain-numbing reality programme, I have been unable to get anything published. I love to write and see my thoughts in black and white, but then edit it so other readers know what I`m on about ha ha. At the moment I am well into the second book of a trilogy which deals with `Revenge` and `Heartbreak`. Anyway, I hope to get to know others in this forum and pick up plenty of advice.

http://www.djsalisburybooks.com/Dead-Wizard-s-Loot.htmlFebruary 14, 2019 at 1:45 pm #263155I have had several of my Novels converted into book-form at `LuLu` but not had any published yet. This was just to see how they looked in the finished form, plus it`s easier to let people I know read them. It`s their opinions that urge me on. I was thinking of contacting a well known person (celebrity) to see if they were interested in buying one of my manuscripts and getting it published under their name and then use the money to `Self Publish`. Does anyone have a view on this course of action. Good or Bad.
February 14, 2019 at 4:12 pm #263162You can publish on Amazon for free, except for ordering print copies. And the cost of marketing, of course, but even going with trad pub means you get to pay for marketing while losing control of your copyright.
My brother has tried for years to get a celebrity to publish his book. The only response he gets is a push to buy THEIR books.
Go take a hard look at Amazon and their ebook arm, Kindle. That’s where I publish all my work.

Deb Salisbury
