Hello all, and again to some of you. A few year back before I went back to school I was a part of this amazing site–usually undercover, but I popped out from time to time to peek out from under my rock.
I think the new site looks amazing by the way. But in a purely selfish vein I was wondering if anyone saved that large collection of information about worldbuilding that one of the members had posted. Never thought I’d find myself in a position to need it, but suddenly I am. Was wondering if anyone might have that tucked away in a file somewhere. If not, I’ll make due. But it never hurts to ask.
Alas, farewell. I will return. And hopefully be able to participate quite freely once again.

There was a bunch of stuff on worldbuilding on the old site. Do you mean anything in particular, or all of the worldbulding stuff?
Great at theory, terrible at practice.
January 23, 2013 at 6:57 pm #214893Hello there and welcome back. The old site is still up at this time, but of course it might just vanish without warning. Perhaps you can find it:
Hopefully this link works. Good luck. Have a look around the new site and if you have questions, please ask.

January 24, 2013 at 3:46 am #214895Well I kind of had to put fiction writing on the back burner during grad school so I fell off the grid. And now that I have a little time to get back to it.
And as per the specific thing, it was one big resource that one of the old mods posted up. But his name escapes me. He was like the worldbuilding guru there–the go to guy. But I’m totally drawing a blank. Think I’m gonna dig through the link Mary pat sent (ty btw).
January 24, 2013 at 5:19 am #214896Looking through the forum that was up I think it might have been lost at some point, because the farthest back I could find was 2005 posts and I remember all this talk of physics and climates and really deep science discussions. But alas. that was like 2003 i think. But no worries.
I’m here again and will be around for a while. might have to contribute my own findings to the new site and return to attempting to be a productive member again.
