Hi Everyone,
My name is Michelle Mackenzie.
I am from Essex in the United Kingdom. I have two daughters and have just found out I am pregnant again just last week.
I am a published author of nine books.
I have been writing novellas for about four years.
I am a participant in NaNoWriMo, and also doing the 100k in 100 days challenge. My preferred genres for both reading and writing are Crime Fiction and Fantasy.
I believe that there is always room for improvement with my writing, and I know that my next book has to be better than my previous books. So, I hope to make lots of friends here!

December 27, 2012 at 1:59 am #210252Welcome to FM. 100k in 100 days? Somehow, I don’t think I’ve heard of that challenge, but what a great way to keep the NaNo habit going — and get a longer novel finished.

December 31, 2012 at 1:07 pm #210255Hi Michelle – great to see another Essexite here on the boards – I grew up in Ramsden Bellhouse, a little (formerly Quaker) village between Billericay / Mayflower and Wickford. It was all open fields back then, sadly all built over now with some very questionable architecture I went to school in Chelmsford, and I still come back on occasion to visit friends and relatives in the homeland.
You sound like you have a great writing thing going on – looking forward to getting to know you and reading your work.
All the best,
Paul
xxxxJanuary 2, 2013 at 8:32 pm #210256Thanks for the welcome everyone.
I’m not really juggling all that much, im just writing after all the kids have gone to bed.
Though, i recently (today) have lost 15,000 words of my novel. I am soooo upset about it.
I hadnt backed up my work onto dropbox, so when i cleaned my netbook memory, it was completely gone. So now, I have two books to rewrite. Lol.
As for my pregnancy- it’s horrible. My morning sickness has officially started and i can’t keep much down in the mornings. I have to wait til the afternoon to eat loads, and then back to morning sickness in the evening.
I’m hoping to post some of my work on here; as soon as I have began to re-write some of it. Lol.
Hope you all had a great christmas, and a brilliant new year.January 3, 2013 at 2:52 am #211069How awful to lose so many words! I hope you feel the rewrite far outshines the original.
Happy writing,
Deb Salisbury
