Hi, my name is Kristina, but you don’t have to remember that if you don’t care to.

I got here from the Nano forums where someone posted about your 2 year novel class. Sounded interesting (and potentially helpful), so here I am!

I’ve mainly written fantasy long-form, but I’ve got a few (bad) sci-fi short stories floating around on my hard drive. I like to read both genres. Thus far, I have actually finished one novel (the first draft, working on the… third? I think). It was my 2010 nano novel, and I ended up having to add to it because it ‘ended’ at around 45k, and I couldn’t figure out how to resolve the addition. So I finished it, but I didn’t finish it, if you know what I mean. Regardless, I’m working on it and shopping it with my local nano group (who are wonderful people). Genre-wise, it’s a lot like Indiana Jones- takes place in the real world, is completely ridiculous but fun, and there’s something supernatural that plays havoc with my characters’ plans.

Yay, another Wrimo! We’ve been getting a lot lately and I wondered about that. Was something posted in a regional forum, or on the main board?

The class should be a lot of fun. I already have my project picked out. Pinpointed which of your ideas you will use?

The topic on the Nano Forums is in December and Beyond!> Life after NaNoWriMo.

And yes, I have two ideas I’m thinking could be perfect for this class. They’ve both been in my head for a while, one of them I’ve tried to write several times without much success, and they both need some extra time and world-building, I think. But mostly, they just need commitment.

Hello and welcome to the site. Your NaNo story sounds like a fun read. Good luck with the Two Year Novel class. Zette teaches a great class. Have a look around and if you have questions, please ask.
