I joined the boards to improve my writing. I have always enjoyed writing and had several minor publications during my school years. Unfortunately I strayed from writing when I decided to travel, started a family, and so on. Now I realize that I need to write because I am a bit of a workaholic and I need to have some sort of a creative outlet.

I made a few attempts to write last year and I have done a few freelance jobs, but having a couple full time jobs kept writing on the back burner. About a month ago I decided to schedule time for writing into each day and now I’m about 20,000 words into a young adult fiction novel.

I am not sure if I will ever have it published, but I am going to see where the journey takes me.

Scheduling writing time is an important step. I’m glad you’re getting so much done on your novel.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
