Hello, I’m Yuallica. I drifted here from the NaNoWriMo site, from the thread on the two year novel class, which sounds great.
I write fantasy novels- pretty much always fantasy, apart from one that turned out more adventure. Also usually humourous fantasy, but most of what I like to read has at least a little bit of humour, so that’s not surprising.
I’m definitely a novel writer- tried short stories and (briefly) scripts, and found I definitely prefer novels. Currently I’m pretending not to abandon my 2012 NaNo novel (I’m sure I’ll go back to it at some point  ) and planning to start a big edit on my 2010 NaNo novel in the next couple of days. I’ve got a couple of other things I’m finishing up, whilst beating back the idea for a new novel that is forming but not quite ready yet. It’s at that stage where I really want to start serious planning and then jump into writing, but I know it’ll be better if I ignore it and let it keep on developing for a bit… I probably would have given in and started it already if it hadn’t turned up on 31st October when I was already all keyed up to write a different novel.

Sounds like yours is the kind of fantasy I most enjoy reading. Unfortunately, I can never be funny on purpose, myself. It always happens by accident.
December 30, 2012 at 9:02 pm #210531Ha, yes, I’m not sure that the funny bits in mine aren’t a bit accidental, but I always seem to end up with them so I just say that’s what I’m aiming for
December 30, 2012 at 11:04 pm #210522Welcome to Forward Motion! I see you already found the 2-Year Novel course, which should be a lot of fun. I’m taking it myself.
Ah, Nano novels. Never know how those will turn out. I’m using the 2-month dares for January and February to finish off the 2012 Nano novel. I think it’s a good story, but it’s nowhere near done.
Let us know if you have any questions. Welcome to the site!

December 31, 2012 at 1:20 am #210523Hello and welcome. I’m glad you found your way here to FM. Congrats on working through NaNo. I tend to write a lot of fantasy myself. It’s fun to see how far you can push things in your world.
Have a look around the site. You might want to check out the two year novel course that Zette is giving. She has a lot of great information to share. Be sure to also stop by the chat rooms because a lot of helpful people hang out there as well.
If you have any questions, please ask.
