This week has not been so good in the science fiction world.
Ann Crispin, of Star Trek and Writer Beware fame, has been fighting a protracted battle with cancer (revealed in 2012), and just announced that it is not going well.

September 5, 2013 at 7:03 pm #221534Yes, cancer needs to die already. So does death. And someone needs to run a stake through the heart of both corpses.
September 6, 2013 at 9:52 pm #221535I’m sorry to say, it did not go well at all. (The link is to an obituary that appeared today.)
September 7, 2013 at 12:01 am #221617How sad. I was hoping she would have a little more time than this.
