The day after Thanksgiving, on November 22, 2007, Russ left for New York and his new job. We hoped it might be a few months to a year and something would turn up closer to home.
Nothing worked that well. Now, five years later, he finally has found a job in this area and he'll be back on Saturday, September 22, 2012 -- just two months short of five years.
For the last five years I've only seen him two or three times a year. We're both looking forward to having our life back!

Hurray that he'll be back this weekend!!!! Five years is an appalling amount of time to be apart, especially when neither of you expected it.
