I'm not sure you need to crave writing. That it nags at you tells me you're a writer at heart.

Don't let fear and doubt stop you. At first write just for yourself. When you're more confident you can show your writing to the world. In the meantime, FM is a good place for support and advice. We certainly understand and share what you're feeling.
