My second novel, Out of the Past, was released last week and received a 5-star review this week. I couldn't be more thrilled! It's all bittersweet though. My best friend and muse died just a couple of days before the release. I know she would be happy for me, IS happy for me, but I miss her so.

I am giving away a free copy of my book through my website, www.GlendaPoulter.com. It has a catch though. I'm asking people to donate to a fund to help my friend's children out in order to be eligible for the drawing. I'd appreciate it if y'all would check it out.

I have opened the book giveaway up to everyone, regardless of whether they donate to the fund for Kathy's kids. It was pointed out to me in a loving and gentle way that I was manipulative (Pushy was the word she use) and that not everyone can afford to donate to ANY cause, regardless of how good it is.

You may already be planning to, but one thing that might help both the kids and your book is to donate some of your royalties, and promote that as a way to get a good read and help some kids.
