Introduction to Fmwriters.com

The Home page offers links to the logins and sign up areas, as well as other the major areas on the site. 

The Lobby page lists all the forums and boards.  The community also has a vast private section for working writers, but these boards only show up for members. Anyone can read  the discussions that show up on the front page, but in order to join in, you must be a member.

If you want to know when we're having classes or offering special activities, or when members of the community are planning to get together in the real world for a convention or writing conference, check the Calendar and Upcoming Events page.

Community takes you into the main community menu, which offers the goals of the community, community rules and culture information, complete listings of all available services and features (some of which even many of our regulars don't know about), and some other useful information links.

Chat will take you to our Chat and Conference room suite, where we have live writing discussion pretty much around the clock, as well as many free writing classes and courses.

Research takes you to the Writers' Research Index, a community-created, searchable database of Internet resources useful to writers. Subject matter is both broad-based and in-depth, and this resource is added to, updated, and revised. (This is being reset and does not work at the moment!)

Books showcases the published works of community members, offering links to free chapters, cover art, reviews of the works, and links to buy the books.

Help contains the information on how to use the community software, how to use the chat room software, community rules, membership information, and a lot more. This section is expanding as community members write the instructions -- you can see what will eventually be available, though the section is still new and much remains to be done. Enough is there, however, to make this a valuable resource for you.
