Lobby: Change your password

You'll have to do this when you first join the community, because we confirm e-mail addresses. You'll receive a computer-generated temporary password -- you'll have to change it if you want it to be something personally memorable.

Change your password is the first option in your User Menu. (Click here to open your User Menu).

From your User Menu, open Change your password. Changing is simple. Enter your current password, then enter the one that you want to use twice. Make sure you memorize your new password. You should change it frequently.

And remember that you are responsible for anything anyone else does while logged in as you, so guard your password carefully.

If you forget your password, the Click here to retrieve your password link in the login window will send a new one to your e-mail address. If you also forget your member name e-mail me with what you think your member name was, and the e-mail address you used to join the community. I'll find you in the database and mail you your information and a new temporary password.

Finally, if you've been away from the community for more than six months, your old membership may have been deleted during my monthly cleanout of inactive accounts. If that's the case, just create a new one.
