I always begin the year with a goal of reading 50 books. If the goal were to read FROM 50 books, I could nail it every year, but, no, the goal is to complete ready 50 books, and I have still not met that goal. This year is starting over very slow -- it's already March, and I'm just completing my first book.

I believe this is geared for middle schoolers, and it's a fun read -- like all the Hal Spacejock books are.

A four-novella collection related to salvation and geo-caching. Each novella is independently written to stand alone, but the central theme is a church's summer treasure hunt using geo-caching to find the prize and bring people to the church. Each story has a romance element and characters are at varying points in their religious journey. Fun, low-key reading. (And, of course, the first novella in the book was written by our very own valeriecomer -- what's not to like!)

A pen name for our very own Erin. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I thought I had the murderer pegged, and I was right, but there were so many other possibilities, that I had to finish the book to be sure. A very nice cozy mystery.

Thoroughly enjoyable foibles of a coming of age boy. The excellent story-telling mostly makes up for what amounted to a distracting number of errors in the book -- usually words that a spell check would not detect. This doesn't appear to have been self-published, so the entire publishing team missed many obvious errors. That's disappointing, but the story-telling is filled with fun and groaners.

Definite feedstore humor, so if that offends you, look carefully before buying.

I missed that this was a novella (but it says it right on the cover). It's a June release and a definitely fun read.

This whole series is a delight to read. This is the third in the series. You can read them out of order, but the characters accumulate from the first novel, so reading in order might be preferred.

A short book chronicling Mr. Patterson's young daughter's short life and the impact she had upon him and others. If you purchase this book, a portion of the proceeds go toward charities devoted to helping special needs children.

The Antarctica setting attracted me to this book. I've not read anything by this author before. I liked some aspects of the book and didn't care for others. It was a free download from Amazon. I might read more by this author. I follow her on Pinterest, and I like her from that perspective. She's also a San Antonio-based author, so I'm partial to supporting that.

Enjoyable story. Some distracting words in the wrong places. Spelled correctly, but not the right word.
