I thought I had started a thread earlier. Anyways I'm aiming to read 50 books in 2011.

The first novel read in 2011. This is one my mom lent me I might not have picked it up otherwise. That being said I did enjoy reading this one. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed how she described the setting related details.

Another loan from mom. While the story started out quite a bit earlier than I had expected it worked for the book with setting up the characters and the plot. I enjoyed how much the two main characters grew from their experiences over the course of the novel.

I really enjoyed reading this book. There were enough details about the setting to create a mental image of the world around the characters, without getting to bogged down in details. The characters are fleshed out nicely and their actions kept the story moving at a good pace.

While I did enjoy this book, I liked Tara Road better. There were developments between some of the characters that felt a little forced. Though the nine year old twins in this book are a riot. I was laughing out loud a few times while reading.

I started reading this series last year and I enjoyed this book better than some of the earlier ones. The world is well defined and the alien species is really interesting. Because this is book four I don't want to say to much because it would spoil things in the earlier three books.

This was an good read, but it felt like not much was happening aside from setting the characters up for the journey in the next book. There was some interesting power struggles between various characters and I did get a good laugh out of the mistranslations towards the end of the book.

I enjoyed this one, it was a good mix of political intrigue and action. This story in this one seamed to move faster than some of the previous books in the series.

I had some trouble getting into this one as the first part was catching up on the year that has passed between this book and the next. Though once I was passed that part the story moved along pretty good as the characters deal with the political changes that happened while they were off world. This one did make me have to remember various other characters from a few books ago, but there was a nice quick summary of who had done what via the main character trying to make sense of everything.

After the battle at the end of the previous book I thought this book would move faster as the story continues right where the other book left off. That being said I did enjoy it, and the stalemate as it were did work to highlight the alien culture. I did enjoy reading this and I'm looking forward to the next book which will finish this trilogy of the series.

Another reread, again I enjoyed it. It was long enough since the first time I read this so I didn't remember to much of the plot.
