Okay I know I said I was going to read The Group by Mary McCarthy, but I didn't get that far into it. I started reading again today and finished Edith Wharton's Ethan Frome in one sitting. It's a beautiful narrative about a tragic story. I've been meaning to read more, but I've been so busy lately.

Books read:
Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton

{edit} I *might* post a review detailing my opinions on the book.

I'm so glad someone likes this book. Personally, I really hated it, but that doesn't mean I want everyone else to hate it. I tend not to like bleak books, and I particularly don't like them if they're realistic. So, it really wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean it's a bad book.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it!

But I like really bleak, realistic books! :p lol

It's great to see the many tastes of reader-novelwriters (my version of singer-songwriters).

I finished another book tonight (albeit very late or early, depending on your point of view, at night/morning). Persuasion by Jane Austen was a fantastic read. I love these kinds of period novels. Yes, it is another classic, and I'll be reading a whole lot of these. I plan to either go back to Edith Wharton or jump to another author because the rest of Jane Austen's books are really thick (other than Northanger Abbey, which I have already read). I am open to suggestions to any of your favorite classics.

Edit - I will be returning to Jane Austen though, because she has never let me down.
