To take part in this year's reading challenge, simply start your own thread and then post to it any time that you want to add a book to your list.

You can add to your list of read works in two ways:

Start your thread, and when you have read something, post a reply to the thread and list the book in it.

Or you can edit your original post and add the book title to a list there.

Any book you finish in 2010 counts, even if you started it in 2009.

The official challenges are for either 50 books or 25 books, and you can note that in your post as well if you want to join one of those two sets. Otherwise, you can set your own goals.

Have fun and good reading!

I'm trying to read some YA and children's books this year. Will they count as one for this challenge?

It'll be interesting seeing how much I actually do read having not kept track before.

So ... we just read lots of books? Do we get to count children's and YA, or just grown-up books?

Gosh, this is something I could excel at... I've already finished about ten of my Christmas gift books ... but they were mostly YA.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Read any books. I don't think you'd really count very young children's books, but all the rest is fine.

I'm setting my goal at 25, but will be reaching for 50 if writing time allows. I'm giving myself permission to read "all over the map."
