One of the great things about reading these stories, is that I get to see how well other writers write and if I really like someone, I will look for their other work. I can also tell when reading more of that author's stuff isn't to my liking.

"The Death of Betty Pinto" and "The Gasman"
are two of the poorest quality of short stories that I've ever read. I choose not to read more of her writing.

"The Inheritance" by Robin Hobb was much better. The plot was a bit shaky in places but she had a story to tell and she told it.

"The Broken Toaster" by Karen White - what a delightful story, one that I'll remember for quite some time. I recommend this story greatly.
