I agree that it is far from wise to advertise where you are all the time. I'd never recommend anyone do that. Period.

That said - this is pathetic. I was hoping at first this might have come from the Onion, and everyone missed it. Because otherwise, it's ridiculous. A nasty, insulting e-mail might be unwise, but I can at least understand how someone could lose their head and hit Send in a moment of misery. Even those of us who never do that to editors and agents have probably done something similar with someone. But this guy took his time, planned this out - and attacked someone, injured her (and who knows how far he would have taken it if not for the dog - good dog ) all because she wouldn't be his agent?
