Not a lot to do with zookeeping--it's a book about a gay romance and a woman whose mother gets Alzheimer's. Gets a "Meh" from me. Pretty unmemorable.

That's the weird part--I don't know. It was well-written, a good story, and yet, something seemed to be missing that would normally pull me back to the story.

Non-fiction book written by a woman veteran from the current war. It's been 19 years since I was in the Persian Gulf, and this was still a hard read.

The story of Elvis' death told from the perspective of his personal physician. The most shocking--and yet not surprising--thing was how the media played up the death as being drugs because it made a better story than natural causes.

This was the first eBook I read (currently being offered for free as a promotion), though I read it when it originally came out. I liked the Elena storyline, but kept get annoyed by B and C stories that kept going on and on ...

A romantic suspense--I was hoping to get a little more of the spy stuff, but the the spy stuff was missing in action and the agent was kind of dumb to be a spy. Some great descriptions of France, though! And the author did better with the politics of Washington, DC then I expected.

This one is research for my WIP. A fascinating discussion into auroras, with some beautiful photos. It gives a lot of information on how people viewed the aurora over history, and in different areas, plus all the scientific theories that were proposed.

A story revolving around meteors sounded cool, but it was never very clear who exactly the main character of the story was and the ending was a big disappointment.

At last! An action novel that doesn't have a confusing story or is bogged down by a romance--just a lot of action and a good story.

An interesting book on marketing mistakes. I didn't realize quality is an empty word (what does "It's high quality" mean?). The one thing that really stood out was a comment on costs of items--if the item excels in what it needs to do, it can be high-priced. If it doesn't, any price is too much.

This was a book I passed for years because of the awful title. It was okay in the beginning but fell apart once they got into the slave children part of the story.

Wow! I found this book by accident, but it really hit the point of the places where I've struggled with organization (I'm "Innovating Style," which is the one type with the biggest challenges).

Problems with pacing in this story. The danger flatlined out through most of the book, then suddenly everything happened in the last 50 pages. Not sure why the Amish were in the story. Didn't seem to have a reason for being there.
